How do I take a photo with a mask?

Select a mask from the carousel at the bottom of the screen, then tap the capture button to take a photo. Your photo will be saved to your photo library.

How do I record a video?

Long-press the capture button to start recording a video with your AR mask applied. Release to stop recording. The video will be saved to your photo library.

How do I switch masks?

Swipe through the mask carousel at the bottom of the screen and tap on any mask to apply it instantly.

The AR masks aren’t showing up. What should I do?

Make sure you’ve granted camera permission in Settings > HeroMask AR > Camera. AR face tracking requires a device with a TrueDepth camera (iPhone X or later). Ensure your face is well-lit and clearly visible to the camera.

How do I flip the camera?

Tap the camera rotate button next to the capture button to switch between front and rear cameras.

Is my data private?

Yes. All photos and videos are saved directly to your device. We do not collect any personal information, and no data is sent to external servers. See our Privacy Policy for full details.

Which devices are supported?

HeroMask AR requires an iPhone or iPad with a TrueDepth camera running iOS 17.0 or later.
